Catch the sunlight filtering through the trees of our lush citrus groves, gleaming on the serene waters of the aptly named Peace River, beckoning you to swim, canoe, camp, enjoy. Engage in the thrill of the hunt, exploring our treasure-filled antique district - named Florida’s Best Small Town Antiquing - or combing our fossil-rich river beds for prehistoric finds. Or just find yourself meandering through parkland paradise.

Hear that? The roar of big cats at our exotic animal refuge… the roar of the crowd at Florida’s oldest rodeo. Now taste this: A slice of pie in a town offering Florida’s Best Hometown Dining, a slice of life in a lovely and charming city listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
